Winifred D. "Winnie" Staab

Winifred D. “Winnie” Staab, 79, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born October 3, 1938 in Harrisburg to the late Arthur and Pauline (Nickel) Barry.
Winnie enjoyed spending her free time with her family and her beloved cat Vixen. She worked as a Home Health Aide for Lakeview Home Health Services. Winnie was a gifted poet who enjoyed both reading and writing poetry.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia E. (husband David) Kinsey of Carlisle and Sandra E. (husband Keith) Thompson of Newville; one son, Gregory (wife Pamela) Carrera of Mechanicsburg; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Winnie was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Porr.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Ron O’Neil officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
