William T. Bisignani, 79, of Ft. Myers, Florida, formerly of Reston, Virginia, passed away on April 28, 2018 after a brief illness. Bill was born in Jessup, Pennsylvania to the late William A. Bisignani and Elsie V. Bisignani, née Chianucci.
He obtained his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He worked for many years as a government consultant and systems engineer at The Mitre Corporation and as a professor of electrical engineering, computer science, and mathematics at the George Washington University and later at Florida Gulf Coast University. Bill enjoyed fishing, travel, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret (Peg), of Ft. Myers, his son and daughter-in-law, Brian W. and Lisa A. Bisignani, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, his son and daughter-in-law, Glenn T. and Lisa M. Bisignani, of Petaluma California, and his grandchildren, William, Meghan, and Lindsay, two nephews, and many friends. Immediate services will be private, but a celebration of life for family and friends will be planned for a later time.
