William G. (Red) Miller

William G. "Red" Miller, 80, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at his home.
Born February 15, 1933 in Dublin Gap, he was a son of the late George and Florence Bouder Miller and the widower of Mary V. Jones Miller.
He worked for Gibson Cement in Carlisle and also worked as a scrap metal recycler in Carlisle. Red cut and sold firewood and loved to go hunting.
Surviving are three children, Sonja Miller Mixell (and husband, Ken), Douglas Miller, and Rose Jones Bishop (and husband, Joe) all of Carlisle; four brothers and sisters, Myrtle Clevenger (and husband, Paul) of Newville, Martha Albright (and husband, John) of Carlisle, James Blessing (and wife, Rachel) of Carlisle, and George Blessing (and wife, Becky) of Doubling Gap; twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melody Teats; grandsons, Jerome Negley and Keefer Bernhisel; brother, Leroy Miller and sister Dorothy Group.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev Richard Reese officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Newville. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
At the family's request, contributions may be made to Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
