William G. "Bill" Davidson

William G. “Bill” Davidson, 82, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle.
He was born February 16, 1937 in Carlisle to the late George W. and Nellie (Lackey) Davidson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Davidson.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda Z. Davidson of Carlisle; two sons, Clayton W. (wife Keirsten) Davidson of Mechanicsburg and Heath Z. (wife Julie) Davidson of Mechanicsburg; five grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Kim Zeigler of Carlisle and Yvonne Davidson of Carlisle.
Bill was an avid golfer. While attending Penn State University he was named an All American in golf and was later inducted into the Penn State Sports Hall of Fame. He enjoyed watching Penn State football and attending his sons and grandchildren’s sporting events. Bill was a member of Carlisle First Church of God where he loved to teach Sunday School classes.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Carlisle First Church of God, 705 Glendale Street Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Michael R. Poe officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Westminster Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday until the time of the service at the church.
