William F. Rubert

William F. Rubert Jr., of Carlisle died July 12, 2011 in Nags Head, NC.

Born May 24, 1947 in Carlisle, the son of the late William F. Sr. and Ruth P. Bressler Rubert.

William was a graduate of Carlisle High School. Mr. Rubert retired from Giant after over 30 years of service. He was a US Marine Corp veteran having served in the Vietnam War. Bill was a member of the VFW Post 477, Carlisle. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by a son, Michael S. Rubert, Mt. Holly and a daughter Lisa D. Shughart, Carlisle and five grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 10:30 am Friday July 22, 2011 in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Burial will be at Westminster Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. There will be a viewing from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday in the funeral home and from 9:30 am Friday until the time of the service in the funeral home.
