William Edward Moyer

William “Bill” E. Moyer, 92, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020 at The Gardens at West Shore, Mechanicsburg.

He was born August 31, 1927 in Mechanicsburg, PA to the late Lawrence M. and Ruth E. (Avinger) Moyer.

Bill was a member of the Zembo Shriners and Adams Lodge No. 319. He was the previous owner of Moyer’s Gun Shop, a gunsmith, and retired from TRW. He enjoyed hunting bear with his buddies at hunting camp, fishing at Hatteras, NC, spending time in the outdoors, and was an extremely hard worker. He enjoyed keeping himself busy.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Bella; sister, Genevieve Toomey; seven nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Kandi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Richard, Eugene and Stanley Moyer.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 12 at 1:00 PM. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the start of the service. Burial will be at Bloomfield Cemetery following the service.
