William E. Chaney, 55, of Carlisle, died Friday, June 20, 2014 at his home.
Born October 16, 1958 in Greencastle, IN, he was a son of Janice Rogers Chaney and the late William Chaney.
He was a member of AMVETS of Carlisle and the Marine Corps League. Bill was employed for twenty-nine years by Geodis and its former companies. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed flea market shopping and antiquing. Bill was a beloved husband, father, son, pappy and brother.
Surviving are his wife of thirty-five years, Linda Chaney of Carlisle; two children, Zach Chaney of Mechanicsburg and Michelle Chaney (and fiancé, Troy Whetstine) of Carlisle; three grandsons, Aidan, Sayge and Izayah; one sister, Brenda McClure (and husband, Kenny) of Land-O-Lakes, FL and one brother, Tim Chaney (and wife, Rhonda) of Greencastle, IN.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Daniel Dennis officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Detachment #524, P. O. Box 1078, Carlisle PA 17013-6078.
