William Scott DeHart, 76, of Boiling Springs, PA, passed away on April 1, 2025. He was born in Harrisburg, PA on October 13, 1948. His loving parents, Kenneth William DeHart and Joyce (Unger) DeHart raised Scott, his brother, Kenneth DeHart and his sister, Jan Miller. Scott enjoyed hunting with his dad, uncles, brother, and son.
Scott served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was stationed at Fort Irwin near Barstow, California. Scott worked for Hershey Foods at H.B. Reese’s in Hershey.
In 1974, Scott married Lois (Romberger) DeHart, and they shared 51 years of love and devotion. Together, they raised two children: son Shawn DeHart (Victoria) and daughter Krista DeHart Bair (Michael). He was blessed with four grandchildren: Kora and Macie Bair and Kadyn and Asher DeHart. His beloved dog, Timmy and their past dogs were also an important part of Scott’s family.
Scott loved hiking trips in the West and Maine, antiquing with his wife, visiting historic homes, creating gardens on their property, and turning their house into an 18th century home. He especially enjoyed a yearly trip to Perry County to have breakfast at the Blain Hotel and a hike to check out their hunting spot with his kids and grandkids. Scott made every holiday special for his family filled with many traditions and leaves a legacy of love and devotion to his family!
Scott and Lois belong to Silver Spring Presbyterian Church since 1988. His strong faith in Jesus was very important to Scott.
Scott’s memorial service will be held at Silver Spring Presbyterian Church located at 444 Silver Spring Road, Mechanicsburg, PA. The service will begin at 11:00AM after a visitation at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Silver Spring Presbyterian Church
