Wilbur W. Crockett

Wilbur W. Crockett, 76, of Landisburg, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at his home.
He was born November 23, 1945, in Landisburg to the late George H. and E. Marie (McNaughton) Crockett - Shenk.
Wilbur was a 1963 graduate of the Green Park Union High School. He retired from Karns Foods after over 35 years of employment. Prior to working at Karns, Wilbur worked for Kinney Shoes and Capitol Products. He was a member of Landisburg Fire Company and was one of the founding members of the Landisburg Ambulance Club. Wilbur was a member of the Landisburg Lions Club where he was a Melvin Jones Fellow. He was also a long-time active member of Landisburg Church of God. Wilbur served the church as an officer on numerous occasions.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy M. (Sloop) Crockett of Landisburg; one son, Stephen (wife Heather, who was more like a daughter) Crockett of Landisburg; three sisters, Mabel Stone of Landisburg, Betty J. (husband Harold) Sundy of Landisburg, and Gladys Hartford of Carlisle; one brother Grant E. (wife Wanda) Crockett of Marysville; and two grandsons, Alex Dunkleberger and Kain Enright both of Landisburg. In addition to his parents, Wilbur was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Crockett.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Jeremy Blair officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family has requested that anyone who is felling ill please not attend.
