Wayne R. Dellinger

Wayne R. Dellinger, 90, of Carlisle passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle.
He was born February 19, 1928 in Cumberland County to the late Paul and Emma (Ziegler) Dellinger.
Wayne honorably served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of VFW Post 477, Carlisle. Wayne enjoyed hunting, square dancing and camping with his family.
He is survived by six children, David A. Dellinger of Carlisle, Roberta L. Dellinger of Carlisle, Maxine L. (husband Michael) Bond of Virginia Beach, VA, Tonya R. Shipley of Gettysburg, Scott S. (wife Kimberlee) Boisvert of Hollywood, MD, and Monica L. (husband Timothy) Jumper of Newville; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother; and five sisters. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorene C. (Segraves) Dellinger; his second wife, Virginia A. (Trimmer) Dellinger; two brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Donald C. Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s United Church of Christ Cemetery, 2243 Hunterstown Hampton Road New Oxford, PA 17350.
