Wayne C. Ginder, 64, of Carlisle died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
Born March 7, 1948 in Hershey, he was a son of the late Charles and Katherine Seacrist Ginder.
He was a 1966 graduate of Hershey High School and a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor’s Degree. Wayne retired with over 30 years of service from Penn Dot, Harrisburg. He was a member of Blue Moon Cruisers and Cumberland Classics. Wayne enjoyed everything about classic cars; driving them, working on them, and attending local shows dedicated to them. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Carlisle and the Elks BPO Lodge 578, Carlisle. He volunteered at Project S.H.A.R.E.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Mary Ginder of Carlisle; one son, Andrew Ginder (and wife, Alison) of Baltimore, MD; one grandson, Eli Ginder; one brother, Ken (and wife, Pat); and one sister, Shirley Biemesderfer (and husband, Bob) of Colorado Springs, CO. He was preceded in death by brother, Stanley Ginder.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 31, 2012 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, on the Square, Carlisle with Rev. Canon Mark A. Scheneman officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery, Carlisle.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
