Walton H. Craig Jr., 84, of Harrisburg and formerly of Long Island, NY, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021, at UPMC Harrisburg.
He was born November 14, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY to the late Walton H. Sr. and Charlotte (Bennett) Craig.
Walton honorably served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was formerly the proprietor of the Viking Bar in Islip, NY. Walton worked most of his adult life as an estimator for several printing companies. After his retirement he continued to work as a security guard for a number of years. Walton was a man who had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed painting and photographing nature. After spending most of his life in New York, he continued to faithfully support his beloved NY Giants when he lived in Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Lisa L. (husband Christopher) Lenz of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren, Mary Ellen Lenz of Mechanicsburg, Kathryn Lenz of North Carolina, Christopher (wife Kiersten) Lenz Jr. of Pittsburgh, Julia Lenz of Mechanicsburg, Kevin Lenz of Pittsburgh, and Ryan Laird of Mechanicsburg; his former wife, Mary Ellen McCarthy of Rocky Point, NY; and his feline companion, Mitzy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Walton H. Craig III; one daughter, Susan D. Craig; and two siblings.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
