Virginia I. Buchter

Virginia I. Buchter, 84, of Carlisle passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born on July 19, 1932 in Carlisle, she was the daughter to the late Frank and Velva (Finkey) Eppley and the widow of Ronald G. Buchter.
Virginia grew up and lived in Cumberland County, and was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother.
Surviving are her children; Brian K. Buchter and Cheryl Schlusser (Warren); and 2 grandchildren, Shawn Schlusser and April Schlusser. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Tom, Oscar, Sylvester, Robert, Paul, Zelda, Emma, and Ruth.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle with Rev. Eric Funk officiating. Burial will be held at Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. There will be a viewing held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 and on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of the services at the funeral home.
