Virginia “Ginny” L. Fulton, 74, of Carlisle, died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Thornwald Home, Carlisle after a courageous battle with ALS. She was known as “Baboo” by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and their friends
Born March 20, 1936 in Wormleysburg, the daughter of the late Donald and Ruth Craft Bruce and the widow of Edward E. Fulton.
She was retired from the Bon Ton in Carlisle where she was an Estee` Lauder Representative for ten years. Virginia worked at the voting polls in North Middleton Township where she had 50 years of consistent voting. She was a former secretary of North Middleton Township. Virginia was a member of the Church of God. She was known for her creative cooking and she enthusiastically shared her recipes with friends and family.
Surviving are her two daughters, Deborah D. Lerew (and husband, Rodney) and Vicki L. Fulton and Gary Paxton all of Carlisle; one son, Edward E. Fulton, Jr. (and wife, Judy) of Landisburg; one brother, Donald L. Bruce of Lemoyne, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Ed B. Alwine officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Churchtown. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
