Virginia Cohick

Virginia Cohick, age 86, of Carlisle, passed away at home on Saturday, September 5, 2015.
She was born on March 6, 1929 in Carlisle to the late George A. and Mary G. Renfrew Bowermaster.
Virginia worked as a legal secretary in Carlisle prior to raising her family. She devoted her life to her husband and children. She made time in her busy life for her favorite things, gardening, cooking, reading and antiquing. Virginia always enjoyed laughing and spending time with her friends and family, especially those in her church community. She first joined the First E. U. B. Church in Carlisle on June 12, 1956 and was a life-long member of the congregation that is now Carlisle United Methodist Church. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 65 years, Paul Albert Cohick; six children, Paul A. (and wife Joann) Cohick, Jr., Carol A. (and husband Jay) Crist, Curtis L. Cohick, Linda L. (and husband Bruce) Long, James C. (and wife Christine) Cohick and Lisa L. Ronan; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, George Bowermaster and Robert Bowermaster.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Carlisle United Methodist Church, 45 S. West St., Carlisle with Rev. Mira Hewlitt officiating. Burial will be at Westminster Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle and from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church on Thursday.
