Violet L. Wallace

Violet L. Wallace, age 81, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on April 29, 1934 in Carlisle to the late Albert and Isabelle Kiner Bernhisel and was the widow of the late Robert N. Wallace who passed away on April 2, 2014.
Violet retired from C.H. Masland & Sons after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Williams Grove Steam Engine Grangers of Mechanicsburg and she attended Waggoner's United Methodist Church, Carlisle. Violet enjoyed doing crafts, playing cards, watching country music shows and loved Bill Anderson and Marty Stuart. She loved watching the cardinals in her yard at their birdfeeders. Violet truly loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.
She is survived by a son, Robert N. "John" (and wife Cheryl) Wallace of Ames, NE; two daughters, Darlene K. Niles of Carlisle and Kathy (and husband Roger) Hedrick of Carlisle; three grandchildren, Tad (and wife Melinda), Chad and Shawn (and fiancée, Courtney); and five great-grandchildren McKayla, Hunter, Azelah, Kaleb and Zayne. She was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters and her grandson, Bobby Niles.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA. Burial will be at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
