Vincent M. Zeladonis

Vincent M. Zeladonis, 93, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Bridges of Bent Creek, Mechanicsburg.
Born in Pittston, PA on June 4, 1919, he was the son of the late Martin and Theresa (Petruscavage) Zeladonis.
He was retired from the United States Army and from the former Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot. He served in the Pacific in WWII and was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed traveling around the country in an RV, golfing, watching Penn State football, and building houses.
Vincent is survived by his wife of 67 years, Peggy A. Zeladonis, of Carlisle; his children Susan Benner (Rodney) and Thomas Zeladonis, both of Carlisle and Helen Zeladonis of Bensalem, PA; grandchildren Christopher Zeladonis, Carlisle, Amanda Zeladonis, Frederick, MD, Michael Benner (Cora), Dupont, WA, Matthew Benner, Buffalo, NY and Kenneth Zeladonis, Bensalem, PA; step-grandchildren Julie White (William), Boiling Springs and Brian Benner (Allison), Woodbridge, VA; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters Eleanor and Anna and brothers John and Joseph.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. William C. Forrey officiating. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville with full military honors.
