Vincent L. Brenneman Sr., 89, of Carlisle, died Friday, June 27, 2014 at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.
Born January 28, 1925 in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Howard M. and Mary (Martin) Brenneman.
Vincent proudly served his country in the US Army 36th Infantry Division during WWII. He was a former POW, a Disabled American Veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was retired from the Naval Supply Depot in Mechanicsburg. Vincent was a member of VFW Post 8851, Boiling Springs and a member of the Boiling Springs Fire Department. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne H. (Clepper) Brenneman; three sons, Donald J. (and wife Deborah) Brenneman of York Haven, Vincent L. (and wife Pamela) Brenneman, Jr. of Mt. Holly Springs and K. Samuel (and wife Debra) Brenneman of Camp Hill; one daughter, Jeannine K. (and husband John) Misantone of Staunton, VA; two sisters, Patricia Hockley of Mt. Holly Springs and Nancy Brownawell of Carlisle; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Leon and Levere Brenneman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle with Reverend Daniel Dennis officiating. A Viewing will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Springville Cemetery, Boiling Springs.
