Vincent L. Bennett

Vincent L. Bennett, 75, of Carlisle, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at his home.
Born May 28, 1937 in Emporium, he was a son of the late Harold and Mabel Britton Bennett.
He was a truck driver for Acre Freight and ABF Freight. Vincent attended New Life Community Church. He liked to tinker with small engines, especially his mowers. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, Caitlyn.
Surviving are his wife of twelve years, Donna M. Bennett of Carlisle; two sons,Todd Bennett of New Jersey and Scott Bennett of York Haven; step-son, Michael Smith of Perry County; step-daughter, Susan Peiffer (and husband, Brian) of Carlisle; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Vincent L. (Bud) Bennett Jr., sister, Joann Hershberger, and two brothers, Eugene Bennett and Alan Bennett.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Pastor Ryan Brown officiating. A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
