Vesta Romaine Zook

Vesta Romaine Zook, 94, of Carlisle, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.
She was born on November 24, 1920 in Carlisle to the late Ellsworth and Anna Florence Boughman Kennedy and was the widow of Chester Lee Zook who died in 2000.
She was a member of the Opposum Hill Union Church, Carlisle.
She is survived by two sons, Randall (and wife Cindy) Zook and Robert (and wife Joan) Zook, both of Carlisle; four daughters, Wanda (and husband Jake) Stouffer of Carlisle, Alinda (and husband Phil) Flaharty of Carlisle, Sharon Peffer of Newville and Dorene (and husband David) Bear of Florida; seventeen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister Mary Agnes Darr, a grandson Matthew Aaron Zook and a son-in-law Harold Leroy Peffer.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, 219 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle with her son Rev. Randall Zook officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the funeral home and from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
