Valjoy E. Goulding

Valjoy E. Goulding, age 82, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at her residence.
She was born June 21, 1935 in York to the late Charles W. and Elda A. (Roupp) Bender and was the widow of Jerry B. Goulding who passed May 4, 1991. They had been married for 35 years.
Valjoy was a graduate of Gettysburg High School where she was head majorette with the marching band. She retired from Giant Food/Ahold after over 35 years of service. When she was younger, Valjoy was a model for 13 photographers. Valjoy enjoyed talking on her CB, using the handle “Snuggle Bunny”, especially to her daughter. She also enjoyed cooking and swimming. She loved the time she spent with her grandchildren teaching them to swim.
She is survived by: two daughters, Lisa E. (husband Brian) Ramsey and Tawnya A. (husband Ron) Cornman; two siblings, Charla and Laurel; and two grandsons, Cody Cornman and Dylan Ramsey; In addition to her parents and husband, Valjoy was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeri Beth Goulding, a step-son, Steve Goulding and a brother, Charles William Bender, Jr..
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Chaplin Lindsey Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018.
