Trudy E. Dinges

Prudence “Trudy” E. Dinges went to eternal rest on Saturday November 23, 2024, at Cumberland Crossings in Carlisle, PA. 

Born March 1, 1945, in Millinocket, Maine. Trudy lived in Jamesburg, NJ for many years and Gardners, PA. Spending her remaining years close to her daughter Brenda Smitherman of Liverpool, PA. 

Trudy was an employee of Kinney Shoe Corp and later retired from Lear Corp. of Carlisle. She devoted her life to her family and friends. A true beacon of life. Trudy could always be counted on when you had a problem. When you needed a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. Trudy will be sorely missed as she flies with the angels. 

She is survived by her daughter Brenda Smitherman of Liverpool, PA., three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren: Sequoia and husband Thomas Claytor Jr. and her bonded companion Tony Lockard, their children Thomas Claytor III, Arrigail Claytor and Willow Claytor, Leona Weller and son Brayden Abate and fiancée Michael Moore, Jesica Walburn and son Brian Clouser Jr. and fiancée Brian Clouser Sr. and Brian’s children Theron and Acacia Clouser, three brothers and two sisters: Cecil Mott and wife Sarah, Denis Mott and wife Alicia, Stanley Tibbetts, Loveda Brenizer and Patricia Burns and husband Tom. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Luther E. Dinges, her mother Leona Tibbetts, sister Bonnie Jewers of Jackson, NJ., brother Michael Tibbetts of Tennessee and son in law Steven Smitherman of Liverpool. 

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday December 3, 2024, at Hoffman Funeral and Cremation. A viewing will be held from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
