Tonya "Polly" Redcay

Tonya "Polly" Redcay, 53, of Carlisle died Monday, August 4, 2014 at M. S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born April 1, 1961 in Marietta, OH, she was a daughter of Wilma Brown Hensler and the late Paul Hensler, Jr.
Polly graduated from Shenandoah High School in Sarahsville, OH and later earned her BS from GBS. She was employed as an elementary school teacher for fifteen years in the Cayman Islands and was later a head teacher for Childtime at Moreland Elementary School. Tonya was in charge of the Good News Club for youth in both the Cayman Islands and at Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, stepmother, sister and step-grandmother.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband of nine years, Jay A. Redcay of Carlisle; four step-children, Luke Redcay (and wife, Janell) of Carlisle, April Redcay of Carlisle, Daniel Redcay of Lebanon and Tawnyia Redcay of Carlisle; six step-grandchildren, Hunter, Alyson, Marley, Archer, Mason and Jackson; four sisters, Shirley VanBuren (and husband, Dan) of Glenford, OH, Debra Stahr of Derwent, OH, Diedere Baker (and husband, Randy) of Caldwell, OH and Linda Baker (and husband, Danny) of Sarahsville, OH and two brothers, Donald Hensler of Zanesville, OH and Kenneth Hensler (and wife, Rose) of Jackson, OH. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and her cats Hannah and Gally. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Johnny Hensler and one sister-in-law, Cindy Hensler.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church, 720 Green Spring Road, Newville with Rev. Terry Burton officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday August 8, 2014 at the church and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church, 720 Green Spring Road, Newville, PA 17241.
