It is with great sadness and love that the family of Timothy Joseph O’Brien, 72 of Carlisle, PA, announce his peaceful passing on Sunday, September 19, 2021. He was born in Bangor, Maine, October 8, 1948, the son of the late Charles W. and Rita L. (Rice) O’Brien of Bangor.
Tim graduated from John Bapst High School in 1967. Tim served many years with the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran (68-69) before retiring in 1988. Following his military retirement Tim worked as a civilian for the Dept of the Army retiring in 2011.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Linda Mary (Smith) of Bangor, Maine and their two loving sons and Families, Steven T. O’Brien and wife Mi Kyung and two grandsons Kevin (14) and Patrick (7) of Woodstock, MD. Thomas D. O’Brien and his wife Natalie of Kapolei, Hawaii.
Tim is survived by his dear sister and husband Sharon E. and Mark Cuneo of Kennebunk, Maine along with three nephews and their families. Kevin J. Nadeau and his wife Ruth, and their two children, Walter and Claire. Arnold J. Nadeau and his daughter Madison. Charles W. Nadeau and his wife Victoria and their three children, Adele and Grant and Wyatt. Brother-in-laws, John D. Smith and Crystal of Williamsport, Pa, Mark E. Smith and Didi of Scottsdale, Az, and Gary S. Smith of Seattle.
A private family service with military honors will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
