Thomas A. Rhen Ii

August 15, 1964 — May 2, 2014

Thomas A. Rhen II went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2014.
He was born on August 15, 1964 in Denver, Colorado.
Thomas, as he was known to family and friends, loved life. Being an "Army Brat", he was well traveled living in Germany, The Panama Canal Zone, as well as many locations in the USA. After graduating high school in Lawton, Oklahoma, he attended The University of Oklahoma. Not comfortable with college life, he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving as a communications specialist in Germany and the USA. Following his service, he completed an Associate Degree in Electronics. He worked for various electronics companies in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. He loved his Lord, his family, Boston area sports teams and NASCAR. Being an extremely kind and generous person, he helped all in any way he could. In addition to his talents, he made time for his passions of reading, classic rock music, exploring history and mastering technology. This passion gave him great joy in being a sound tech at 2nd Presbyterian Church in Carlisle.
Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Joan Sandblom Rhen and both sets of grandparents. He is survived by his father COL (R) Thomas A. Rhen and step-mother Mary K. Rhen, his two sisters, Susan E. Rhen and Julie K. Rhen and her husband, John Ferguson, three nieces Beth C., Rachel L., and Kathy J. MacLeod and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
