Tena M. Sollenberger, 64, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital.
She was born November 11, 1956, in Carlisle to the late Paul and Doris Jean (Hock) Sollenberger.
Tena was an animal lover, a big fan of I Love Lucy, and a very artistic woman. She was employed as a cook at many of Carlisle’s barrooms including Blondies, Oliver Plunket, and Gingerbread Man.
She is survived by an aunt, Betty Faye Smith of Carlisle; an uncle, Ray Lee (wife Winifred) Hock of Gettysburg; cousins, Brandy Smith and her children, Trevante, Donovan, Serenity, and Brayleigh of Carlisle, Mark Smith and his daughter Madison of Newville, and Shawn Fry (husband Kevin) Stitt and their sons Brandon, Dylan, and Jacob of Mechanicsburg, and many others; and her best friend, Nina Pieffer of Boiling Springs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a cousin, Theresa Barbour Hockensmith.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
