Susan R. Yocum

Susan R. (Shawver) Yocum 69, currently of Carlisle, PA, and Lewistown, PA died on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 in Manor Care of Carlisle. She was born on April 19, 1950 in Ryde, PA (Mifflin Co.) to the late Joseph and Romaine Moist Shawver.
Susan had worked in the manufacturing of first quality baby products in Lewistown, PA prior to her illness. Susan received a degree in Medical Administration from Dubois Business College in Dubois, PA. She had attended the University of Indiana of PA for three years. She was an avid animal lover.
She is survived by her loving daughter and son in law, Stephanie L. and Jonathan Winiski of Carlisle, brother, Jay Shawver of Mt. Union, PA, sister, Holly Shawver of Ryde, PA and her adorable and loving grand puppy “Shelby”.
According to Susan’s wishes there will no viewing or service.
Susan’s daughter and son in law would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the medical and nursing staff at Manor Care of Carlisle and to the Andrews and Patel Oncologist in Camp Hill especially Dr. Kathryn Peroutka, MD.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contribution’s in Susan’s name be made to the following charities; Furry Friends P.O. Box 519 Boiling Springs, PA 17007, Bosler Library 158 West High St. Carlisle, PA 17013 or to Breast Cancer Awareness 2600 Network Blvd. Frisco, TX 75034
