Stewart H. Porter, Sr.

Stewart H. Porter, Sr., age 91, of Plainfield, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Claremont Nursing & Rehab Center, Carlisle.
He was born September 17, 1924 in Carlisle to the late Harry and Myrtle Volinski Porter.
Stewart was a lifelong resident of Plainfield and was retired from Carlisle Tire & Rubber.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Peggy Ann Rose Porter; three sons, Stewart Porter, Jr. of Carlisle, John Porter of Carlisle and Dennis Porter of Newville; a daughter, Cherry Ann Ellis; a sister, Vesta Gast of Carlisle; thirteen grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Porter and twin daughters, Beverly and Katherine Porter.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Westminster Cemetery.
