Steven E. King

Steve was born July 15th, 1967 in Carlisle, PA and left this world October 21st, 2018 from Mechanicsburg, PA. Steve was 51.
Steve grew up in Carlisle, PA and attended Carlisle High School then went on to Chambersburg, PA where he studied nursing, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. Steve worked as a nurse throughout central PA for many years and was admired for his compassion and care. Steve was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time at the beach with family. Never was there a more ardent NY Jets fan who never lost hope; which no doubt sharpened his lively wit and sense of humor.
Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents Pete King and recently Thelma King of Carlisle, PA. Thelma King raised Steve as a son along with her longtime companion George Eutzy who today resides in Carlisle Springs, PA.
Steve is survived by his father Joseph Edward King and his companion Marci Branscum of Carlisle, PA; also one sister Leslie Glaser of Harrisburg, PA, and two sons. Steve married Shelly Karichner of Lock Haven, PA in September 1987 and raised two sons Ian David King and Zachary Edward King. Zachary’s wife Krista King and the apples of Steve’s eye their two daughters Rylee Addison and Madison Lee King of New Jersey. Also three aunts, many cousins and extended family.
In Steve’s later years he was the manager of The Waterfront Bar & Grill in Marysville, PA where he enjoyed countless friends and co-workers. Everyone loved Steve which will be his enduring legacy, he was a kind and pleasant man who would help anyone for any reason. Steve is forever loved by his angel; some may know her, some do not.
