Stephen James Carson, 54, of Carlisle, was called "home", Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in 1959, he was the son of the late James William and Martha Church Carson. He was a 1977 graduate of Carlisle High School.
An avid family man and lover of classic rock, Steve possessed a very strong work ethic, working many years as a chef for the Boiling Springs Tavern, running his own landscaping and snowplowing business, and most recently as a technician for Imperial Beverage Systems, Inc.
In addition to his mother, Mary Frances Watson Carson of Carlisle, he is survived by his wife, Lorraine Wolfe Carson; his son, Stephen James Carson, Jr.; and his sister, Libby Carson Hockensmith, all of Carlisle. Also his beloved dog, Jester.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2013, at the Second Presbyterian Church, 528 Garland Drive, Carlisle, PA 17013. The Rev. Dr. Jeffrey W. Gibelius and the Rev. Jennifer J. McKenna will officiate.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
