Shirley Lucas

Shirley Ann (Pittenger) Lucas, 90, of Carlisle, passed away on July 31st, 2024. Shirley was born on July 20th, 1934, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ray, her father, Harry, and her many brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Rae Helen (Lucas) Triplett, and Roberta A. (Lucas) Spahr (Gregory), Robert A. Triplett, her grandchildren, Heather Spahr (Tim), Daniel Spahr, Amanda Bischof (Jon), James W. Triplett, and Olivia Spahr, her great grandchildren, Holly Bischof, Halia Plumley, Alex Bischof, Isabella Spahr, and Zoey Plumley, and her brothers, J. Edward Pittenger (Joyce), and Richard E. Pittenger (Patricia).

Shirley graduated from Carlisle High School in the class of 1952. Throughout the years she stayed in touch with the friends she made while in school. Up until her passing she would get together and visit with these friends. She worked in the banking industry most of her adult life. She retired in 1996 from Bank of America. Shirley was an avid reader and a fan of golf. She enjoyed college football, specifically Penn State football.

Family will be receiving friends from 11 A.M. - 12 P.M. on Saturday, August 10th, 2024, followed by a memorial service at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013.
