Shirley D. Cornman

Shirley D. Cornman, age 85, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 26, 1932 to the late John and Esther (Weigle) Dunbar and was the widow of Charles R. “Chub” Cornman to whom she had been married for 66 years.
Shirley is survived by: a son, Ray C. (wife Diane) Cornman of Carlisle; two daughters, Nancy (husband Cleon) Detweiler of Newville and Sandy (husband Skip) Wagner of New Bloomfield; three siblings, Parker (wife Shirley) Dunbar of Carlisle, Mildred Martin of Carlisle and Mary (husband Robert) Billman of Newville; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by a son, R. Jake Cornman and three brothers, Johnnie, William and James Dunbar.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at McClures Gap Church of God Cemetery, Newville.
