Shirley Ann Bandy, 79, of Newville and formerly of Florida, died Friday, July 4, 2014 at her daughter's home.
Born October 18, 1934 in Hamtramck, MI, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Allason Yambor and the widow of Paul William Bandy.
She was a graduate of Pershing High School, Detroit, MI. Shirley was an Education Paraprofessional for public schools in Michigan. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Catholic Church. She loved to go on cruises and enjoyed traveling all over the world including; Russia, China, England, Scotland, Wales, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Australia, Fiji and South America. Surviving are three children, Paul William Bandy (and wife Michele) of Eastpointe, MI, Lois A. Higgins (and husband John) of Newville and Phyllis Imhoff (and husband William) of Shippensburg, six grandchildren, Nicholas and Jonathan Higgins, Sara Warren and Angel, Will and Aaron Imhoff and two great-grandchildren, Ariyah and Jorden-Marie. She was preceded in death by her brother, Alexander, Jr. and her sister, Margaret Mary Yambor.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Our Lady of Visitation, 305 North Prince Street, Shippensburg with Rev. Dwight D. Schlaline as celebrant. Burial will be in Bushnell Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. A viewing will be held immediately following the Mass.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
