Shirley A. Bricker

Shirley A. Bricker, age 78, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg with her loving family by her side.
She was born on August 8, 1937 in Carlisle to the late Leon and Helen Kosher Ramp.
Shirley was a graduate of Carlisle High School. She retired from the former Reeves-Hoffman Crystal Manufacturing Plant. She was a member of The Meeting House (formerly Brethren in Christ Church), Carlisle. Shirley enjoyed reading, collecting snowmen and volunteering at her church. Spending time with her family meant the most to her.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Ray F. Bricker of Carlisle; two sons, Joseph O. (and wife Suzanne) Railing, Jr. of Carlisle and Jeffrey S. Railing and companion Tammy of Carlisle; a daughter, Julie M. Railing and companion, Ralph of Newville; four sisters, Dolores (and husband Jake) Scarborough of FL, Barbara (and husband Christian) McCalister of Carlisle, Judy (and husband Rich) Ruch of NY and Linda (and husband Ron) Wert of Carlisle, three grandchildren, Heidi J. Railing, Erica Dougherty and Steven Dougherty; a great grandson, Logan Dougherty; a daughter-in-law, Scarlet Railing of Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael L. Railing and a grandson, Joseph D. Railing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at The Meeting House, 1155 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Linda Lambert officiating. Interment will be at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. There will be a visitation at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
