Scott A. Flinchbaugh, age 54, of Mechanicsburg, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 7, 2017 at his home.
He was born July 2, 1963 in Bethlehem, PA to Dean A. and Ruth A. (Smith) Flinchbaugh of Mechanicsburg.
Scott was a graduate of Liberty High School and Bloomsburg University. He was employed as Manager of Informatics for PerformCare, a company of AmeriHealth Caritas. Scott enjoyed quilting, cooking/baking, needlework and was an avid rose gardener. He loved his puppies and enjoyed listening to and performing classical music. He was a church organist and bell choir director for several churches in the Susquehanna Valley. Scott’s honesty and generosity will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by: brother, Joel (wife Kim) Flinchbaugh of Carlisle; sister, Amy Flinchbaugh of Camp Hill; grandmother, Dorcas Smith of York; niece, Abby Flinchbaugh of Carlisle; uncle, Lloyd Smith of Gettysburg; cousin, Peggy Smith of York; and his canine companion, Wooly Bully.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Kathryn Johnston officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the services.
