Jane Sheriff

Sarah Jane Sheriff, 81, of Carlisle, died Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Chapel Pointe, Carlisle.

Born in Walnut Cove, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Dorothy (Young) Alley and the wife of 29 years to John A. Sheriff.

Jane was a graduate of Walnut Cove High School, NC. She enjoyed photography, cooking, gardening, traveling and spending time in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was also an active member of Carlisle United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, Jane is survived by her children: Renee Himmelspach (husband Scott), and Mark Davis, both of North Carolina; step-son John Sheriff (wife Karen) of Carlisle; four grandchildren: Katy and Bryan Himmelspach, both of North Carolina, Connor Ragan (husband Timothy) and Alexandra Sheriff, both of Florida; two great grandchildren: Ava and Nora Ragan, as well as her sister: Kim Ferrell (husband Rick) of North Carolina.

Visitation will be held 10-11 am with a Celebration of Life Service at 11 am on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Carlisle United Methodist Church, 333 Spring Garden Street, Carlisle, PA 17013. Family and friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon to be held at the church, following the service. Interment will be held at the family’s convenience.
