Sarah Scharadin

Sarah Miller "Sally" Scharadin, age 81, of Carlisle, PA, formerly of Frackville, PA, passed away on April 20th, 2025, surrounded by her friends, at Carlisle Skilled Nursing, Carlisle. Sally was born in Pottsville, PA, on July 14th, 1943 to John L. "Mitch" Miller and Sara (O'Brien) Miller.

A 1961 graduate of the former Frackville High School, she obtained a degree in Radiologic Technology from Jefferson Medical College Hospital, Philadelphia, PA and began her career in Washington, DC.

She married her high school sweetheart, Robert (Bob) Scharadin Sr. Upon moving to Carlisle in 1965, she worked at various medical facilities in the Carlisle area.

Following her career in Radiology, she went to work in the Alumni Office at Dickinson School of Law for 20 years, retiring as Alumni Director. Following that retirement, she became Recreational Director at North Middleton Township. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle.

She and Bob enjoyed returning to her great grandmother's home in Frackville, PA. They also enjoyed frequent travel, both in and out of the country. She was an avid researcher in genealogy, tracing both Bob's and her families back many generations. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and studying the Civil War.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert (Bob) Scharadin Jr, his wife Geraldine Sharp Sharadin, and her husband, Robert (Bob) Scharadin Sr. 

Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, April 28th, 2025, at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013. A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m prior to the funeral service.

Interment will take place at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025, at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, 102 Morea Rd, Frackville, PA 17931.
