Sarah E. Nealy

Sarah E. Nealy, 91, of Newville, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on Tuesday, July 25, 1933, in Hoernerstown, PA, to Thomas M. and Mary S. (Aungst) Patrick. 

Sarah was a member of the Cumberland County Farm Women Group #22 and the Cumberland County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee. She was also very active in her church as a member of Women’s Fellowship and was the Choir Director and Organist for many years. Family gatherings and celebrations were a constant highlight throughout her life. 

She is survived by her five children: Steven Nealy (Kandace), Douglas Nealy (Debra), Thomas Nealy (Cheryl), Vickie Eberts (Jim) and Sherry Adams (Chuck), nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and a sister Eleanor (Harvey) Kuntz. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Nealy in 2010, a grandson, Jason Nealy, one brother, John Patrick and two sisters, Mary Hurst and Dorothy Seibert. 

A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Newville Church of the Brethren, 16 Carlisle Road, Newville, PA 17241. A visitation will be held from 9:30-11:30 AM at the church. Pastor John Hess will be officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Hanoverdale Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
