Sarah Arlene Fry

Sarah Arlene Fry, 79, of Carlisle died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born January 26, 1933 in Andersonburg, Perry County, she was a daughter of the late John and Ruth Ickes Hench.
She was retired from JC Penny and also sold Avon part-time. She was a member of Middlesex United Methodist Church, Carlisle.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Harold Wayne Fry; four children, Dan Fry (and wife, Pam) of Marshall, MI, Andrew Fry (and wife, Jo Lyn) of Boiling Springs, Karen Fry of Norfolk, VA, and Judy Richards of Quarryville, PA; one brother, Dale Hench of Quarryville; two sisters, Elizabeth Hench of Elizabethtown and Helen Crofts of Dover, DE; six grandchildren, Kelly and Brandon of Denver, CO, Ben and Brody of Boiling Springs, Kara and Jackson of Quarryville; and one great-grandchild, Teagan, of Denver, CO. Nothing gave Sarah greater joy than spending time with family and friends. She had many gifts and talents and nobody could butcher the English language like Sarah. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Glenn, and Eugene Hench.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2013 at Middlesex United Methodist Church, 118 Middlesex Road, Carlisle with Rev. Jan Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle.
