Sara (Sally) W. Keller, 88, of Carlisle, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
Born January 28, 1924 in Mainheim, PA, she was a daughter of the late Amos M. and Ellen Sipling Witman and the widow of H. Paul Keller, who died February 28, 2005.
Sally graduated from Manheim High School in 1941. She was a bookkeeper for the Cumberland Valley Savings and Loan until she retired in 1987. She worked part-time with Capital Tax Bureau. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and W. H. O. Sunday School Class. She was past treasurer of Grace United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women and W. H. O. Sunday School Class. She was also a member of Eastern Star Lodge #375, Old Bellaire Chapter. Sara supported and attended all of her son’s and grandson’s activities and sporting events.
Surviving are her son, William Keller, daughter-in-law, Susan and grandson, Shane; one brother Martin Witman of Marietta; two sisters, Laura Reichenbach of Manheim and Betty Meyers of Davenport, FL. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Claude, and Wilbur; one sister, Helen Snader, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Grace United Methodist Church, 45 South West Street, Carlisle with Rev. Dr. Dennis Keller, Rev. Scott Hocker, and Rev. James E. VanZandt co-officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
