Ruth Irene Brown

Ruth Irene Brown, 99, of Shippensburg, Died Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born March 16, 1912 in Newville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mabel Boyd Negley and the widow of Richard E. Brown.
She was a seamstress the former U Wanna Wash Frocks, Newville.  Ruth was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Newville. She loved to go camping.
Surviving are her son, Carroll V. Brown of Shippensburg and sister, Isabelle Mary Mountz of Newville.  Also, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by three sisters, Vesta Kyle, Gertrude Ginter and Viola Hoover and two brothers, Fred Negley and Paul Negley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle.  Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
