Ruth Annie Germeyer, 89, of Dillsburg, died Friday, November 22, 2013 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born December 31, 1923 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Roy B. and Edna Mae Keck Killian.
She was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Class of 1941. Ruth worked for many of the Crystal Plants in Carlisle. Also, she worked as a waitress for Allenberry Play House. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle. She was also a member of the Molly Pitchers Stitchers (quilting and cross stitch group). She loved gardening and reading.
Surviving are her husband of forty-six years, G. David Germeyer of Dillsburg; seven children: Rodney Stone (and wife, Marilyn) of Wisconsin, Nanci Link (and husband, Allan) of Washington, DC, Diane Etsweiler of Carlisle, Dennis Stone (and wife, Paige) of Miami, FL, Gregory Stone (and wife, Sandy) of Lancaster, Wayne Stone of Harrisburg, Trudy Adams (and husband, Larry) of Carlisle; brother, Glenn C. Killian (and wife, Patricia) of Carlisle; and sister, Patricia Kuhn (and husband, Charles) of Boiling Springs;twenty grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren;four great-great-grandchildren; three nephews; two nieces; and many great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lee Stone and her second husband, Arthur E. Clepper.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 West Louther Street, Carlisle with Rev. Dr. Robert Seibold officiating. Burial will be in St. Johns Peace Church Cemetery, Camp Hill. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle.
