Rosella M. Shirey Warrick, age 90, of Carlisle, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, PA.
She was born in Jenners Township, Somerset County, PA on December 28, 1924 to the late Robert and Lavina Ream Shirey and was the widow of the late Rev. Dr. Carl L. Warrick to whom she was married for 56 years.
Rosella was a licensed beautician and she drove bus for the Carlisle Area School District for 21 years. She was also a van driver for Cumberland County Transportation for 10 years. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle. She also attended Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gardners. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her loving family.
She is survived by a son, David R. (and wife Sherry) Warrick of Gardners; two daughters, Linda E. (and husband John) Kent of Carlisle and Tomalee 'Faye" (and husband Ken) Brown of Carlisle; a foster daughter, Rosie Hippensteel of Hanover; a sister, Eleanor Shirey of Somerset, PA; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl L. Warrick, II; a daughter, Virginia Ann Warrick; one sister; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Louther Street, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Robert Moore and Rev. David Clark officiating. Interment will be in North Middleton Church of God Cemetery. There will be a viewing Friday evening, November 13, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the church and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the church.
