Rosalie W Asch resident of Spring Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Harrisburg PA passed away Thursday February 3, 2022, at the facility after a case of Covid.
Rosalie was the youngest child of the late Charles E Marks Sr. and Catherine (Leas) Marks of Carlisle PA. She was born at home in East Berlin October 26, 1943.
She was preceded in death by her husband James E. Asch Sr. who passed away May 17, 2020, after 58 years of marriage.
Rosalie graduated from Cumberland Valley High School in 1960 and had many jobs over the span of her career starting at the US Army War College as a typist. She was best known for her many years working as an Executive Secretary to the President at Farmers Trust Company Bank in Carlisle.
Rosalie went on to work at Capital Blue Cross Harrisburg, PA, HAP in Harrisburg PA, as a Secretary at a law firm, and later in her retirement years she worked at Rite Aid and Walmart in Carlisle as a part-time cashier. She was always a hard-working dedicated employee loved by all who met her. Rosalie was a member of the Chorus Sweet Adelines in Carlisle, PA for a while and also performed in a few follies at the Carlisle theater. She loved to dance and listen to oldies and Country Music. Her sisters and her had a small band they performed in during their younger years.
She loved to read; watch game shows and crime shows; go to casinos and out to eat with friends. She made wonderful family dinners and fed anyone who visited her home. She loved to be busy and would help anyone who needed it.
She is survived by her daughter Sedina Lupfer of Harrisburg PA and a son James Asch Jr (wife Judy) of Pottsville PA.
She was a loving and devoted grandma to her two grandchildren Brandon S Lupfer (wife Tabitha) of Steelton, PA and Nichole R Burton (husband Jeff) Enola, PA. She also had two step grandchildren Lauren Lamper (husband Stephen) who have three children and Jaclyn Davidson who has a son.
She had 4 great-grandchildren; Jackson Burton; Brynlee Burton; Aubrey Burton and Jordan Gennavieve Lupfer.
Rosalie is also survived by, two sisters Ruth Ann “Minnie” Davidson of Boiling Springs, PA and Darlene Mbugwa (husband Robert) of Hummelstown, PA; many loved nieces, nephews, and their children; and two sisters-in-law, Peggy Morrow in CT formerly of Carlisle PA and Eleanor Marks of Boiling Springs, PA.
Rosalie was preceded in death by a brother Charles “Sonny” Marks Jr and a baby brother Gerald Marks who died at birth.
There will be no formal services per Rosalie's last wishes and she asked that people celebrate her life instead by a party or by having a good glass of her favorite drink Cold Duck in her honor!
