Ronald L. Blasser, age 82, passed away on January 21, 2023, in Carlisle, PA. He was born September 7, 1940, in York, PA., the son of Harry W. and Effie B. Blasser (Horn).
Ronald served our country honorably in the US Army, where he was part of the Military Police and received the Good Conduct Service award for his faithful service to our country. Ronald worked for 24 years as a store manager for Bon Ton stores and 14 years for Walmart before his retirement.
His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather who loved to spend time with his family. During his youth, he enjoyed being a camp counselor and sharing his knowledge about boating, fishing, and the local Native American history. Ronald loved listening to a wide variety of music and was always one of the first to get up and dance at a party. He loved cooking and never shied away from trying a new recipe. Ronald enjoyed sitting out on the front porch, enjoying the fresh air and watching thunderstorms. He also loved watching his daughters in the various activities they participated in when they were younger. Ronald enjoyed watching all genres of movies; most recently, his favorites were Hallmark movies.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Mary Blasser Carlisle, PA. His two daughters Nicole Stouffer and her husband, Bryan Carlisle. PA., Jolene Blasser Carlisle, PA., He is also survived by his sister Virginia Wonders and her husband Donald York, PA. and his four grandchildren Evan, Brighton, Ethan, and Liam Stouffer. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Nevin, Harry, and Eugene Blasser.
A Graveside Service for Ronald with Military Honors will be held at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA. on Tuesday, January 31st 2023 at 1:00 PM
