Ronald E. "Snowy" Snowberger Sr.

Ronald E. Snowberger, Sr. “Snowy”, age 69, of Carlisle and formerly of Altoona, passed away unexpectantly at his home on Tuesday evening, November 13, 2018.
He was born May 19, 1949 in Portage, PA, the son of the late Elmer and Margaret (Garlitz) Snowberger.
He married Lucinda “Cindy” Deyarmin in February 1967 and together they would have celebrated their 52nd anniversary.
Ron retired from ABF Freight and was enjoying retirement by watching television outdoors in his gazebo, playing with his grandchildren, vacationing in Las Vegas, Florida and the Outer Banks and spending time with his family.
Ron is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughter, Laura Carter and fiancé Edward Blyskal, Jr., Carlisle; son, Ronald E. Snowberger, Jr., Carlisle; grandchildren, Christopher Lee White and wife Blanca, Ronald E. Snowberger, III, Miranda Marie Snowberger, Keyarrha and Noah Carter, and Ayden Blyskal; great-grandchildren, Patrick, Lyla, and Jose; siblings of Altoona; several sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; and the family pet Shorkie, Diamond.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sonya Marie Snowberger of Altoona in January 2018.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. A viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.
