Ronald E. Carr, 78, of Neville, died Friday, October 19, 2012 at his home.
Born July 27, 1934 in Perry County, he was a son of the late Marlin and Virginia Keller Carr.
He delivered forklifts for Clark Forklifts of Mechanicsburg for 28 years. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Aspers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved NASCAR and football. Ronald was a Bronco’s football fan.
Surviving are his wife of 23 ½ years, Jackie Carr of Newville; five children, Barbara Jean Hoover (and husband, Ronald) of Carlisle, Ronald Carr, Jr. (and wife, Dorcas) of Shippensburg, Beverley Fliegle (and husband, Dennis) of Chambersburg, Virginia Davis of Shermans Dale, Todd Allen Reed (and wife, Elizabeth) of Huntsdale; four step-children, Cloyd Rexrode (and wife, Jan) of Hershey, Diana Zockoll (and husband, Robert) of Leesport, Thomas Rexrode (and wife, Stacy) of North Carolina, and Marilyn Rexrode of Union Deposit; two brothers, Terry Swartz of Blaine and Dean Carr of Philipsburg; one sister, Shirley Mazurak of Philipsburg; eighteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Michael Rexrode and his step-mother, Helen Carr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Pastor Robert McEllory officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Garden Cemetery, Colonial Park, Harrisburg. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
