Rojohn O. Holmes passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at the age of 42. Born June 3, 1982 in Olongapo City, Philippines, he was the son of Daniel Holmes and Bernardita “Virginia” (Oliveros) Keiser.
Rojohn immigrated with his mother to the United States in 1991, first living in the Los Angeles, CA area, and later moving to the east coast. Rojohn worked for years as a tree climber and cutter and was widely considered by his colleagues at the prime of his career as a master of tree climbing and cutting—skills that are crucial to achieving excellence in a potentially dangerous line of work. His ‘happy-go-lucky’ demeanor was evidenced by his enjoyment of dancing and his ability to ‘dance’ on the highest of limbs on towering trees as he skillfully maintained balance needed to prune limbs within his reach.
Family and friends who knew him best considered him to be a loving, compassionate, caring, and loyal man with a very adventurous spirit. He particularly loved animals and also enjoyed running marathons. He was also passionate about cooking.
In addition to his parents, Rojohn is survived by other family members residing in the Philippines.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
