Roger W. Young, 70, of Boiling Springs, died Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at UPMC Carlisle.

Born in the Germantown Section of Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Liss) Young and the husband of 14 years to Sandy (Dobbs) Young.

Roger worked as a Systems Tech for Energy Transfer Partners. He was an active member of Calvary Chapel Harrisburg – West Shore where he had been teaching the spiritual gifts class.

He enjoyed road biking, disc golf, crossword puzzles and playing the guitar but the thing that brought him the most joy was being with family, especially being Pop-Pop to his nine grandchildren (with one more on the way).

In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by his children: Jeremy Young, his wife, Julie, Nathan Young, his wife, Rebecca, Kirsten Christman, her husband, Matthew, Brianna Herbig, her husband, Ronnie; his nine grandchildren: Evangeline, Hannah, Silas, Judah, Asher, Naomi, Eli, Dezmond, Lilly, (one more on the way) as well as his brother: Ken Young.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Don Young.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing from 9:30 – 11:30 am Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle. Interment will be held privately.
