Robert Z. Starry

Robert Z. Starry, age 92, of Carlisle PA passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Church of God Home.
Robert was born in Churchtown, PA on September 8, 1928 to the late Wilbur and Bessie (Zeigler) Starry and was the widower of Laura (Finkenbinder) Starry who passed on November 3, 2010.
Bob worked as butcher for Herpak Foods and Country Butcher. He and Jerry Schultz went on to partner ownership of their own butcher shop on N. Pitt St. in Carlisle. Bob enjoyed traveling and was a very active member of the Churchtown Church of God, was Grand Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias, and was a member of the St. John’s Lodge #260 F&AM, now the Carlisle Lodge.
He is survived by two daughters, Suzie Taylor (husband Clyde) of Aspers, PA, Molly Hoffer (husband Charles) of Harrisburg, PA; one son, John Starry (wife Gloria) of New Kingstown; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A private interment will take place in the Westminster Cemetery.
